It Has Begun!
Over 20 years ago I attended a seminar that demonstrated how to start a Shiitake Mushroom Farm. I was so intrigued by the idea, I never forgot it. With the acquisition of Mystic Mountain Homestead, we preparing to begin in 2018.
My son Jordan caught the vision and today, taking lead control of the project and today, December 30, 2017, began cutting the first logs to start the long anticipated Mystic Mountain Mushroom farm. The business model he has designed, calls for the first mushroom yard created be the Shiitake variety. Our overall goal is to provide a steady supply of Arkansas grown organic mushrooms available to farmers markets and restaurant's as well as individuals. As we build our business, we will be adding other organic varieties and strains. Be watching for updates and photo's as we begin this new business venture or should we say 'adventure!'.
